SKLC(SEOUL Korean Language Centre) reserves the right to revise the Terms and Conditions at sole discretion at any time.
Notification will be given before the revised T&C turns effective.
Class Policy
• There are no lessons on Public Holidays. Lessons affected will be postponed to next week or held on alternative date after discussion with students.
• SKLC reserves the right to reschedule the commencement date of the course.
• Should the student wish to switch his/her class to a later date, the prior notice is to be given to the SKLC at least a week before the commencement date of the class that she/he registered for. Otherwise, neither a transfer of class nor a refund will be given.
• Should the student wish to transfer to a different class he/she signed up for, he/she is to pay the registration fee again for the transfer.
• Photographs or videos of students during class may be taken and posted on the social media or website.
• Should the student be absent for 60 or more days since the completion of the last course, she/he is to pay the registration fee again to join the higher-level course.
• If the student is not able to commit to the class registered for, she/he is to transfer to another class within 90 days from her/his last lesson attended (or from the starting date of the class if she/he was never present). Otherwise, the course fee and registration fee will expire.
• Transfer to another class is allowed only one time per level.
• Due to security, the student is to turn both the video and audio on so that he or she is visible and audible for all online lessons. SKLC has the right to expel him/her without a prior notice if he/she does not comply with the security measures.
• The attendance of the student may not be counted if her/his video is turned off or his/her face cannot be seen.
• SKLC has the right to expel the student for her/his disorderly behaviour without a prior notice
• SKLC has the right to expel the student without a prior notice for giving the lesson access to unauthorized person(s).
• SKLC has the right to mute the student’s microphone to prevent unnecessary noise affecting the learning environment.
• Recording of the lesson by the student is prohibited at all times.
• Sharing of the password is prohibited for all online lessons.
• None of materials from SKLC is allowed to be distributed by the student.
• SKLC is not responsible for any loss of delivery items due to false or outdated information given by the student. He/she is to make repayment for the reissue.
• If the delivery is not successful for unknown reasons, the student and SKLC will bear 50% of the cost of the material for the re-issue.
• SKLC is not responsible for any technical damage of the student’s personal belongings.
• SKLC is not responsible for any technical issues of the student.
Make-up Lesson Policy
• Should the student miss a lesson, a video of the lesson will be given for makeup. However, the provision of videos will cease should he/she be absent 4 or more lessons.
• The provision of recorded videos will be ceased when the course is completed.
• SKLC has the right to choose which video to be showed for makeup.
• The rate of private makeup will be $30 per 1 hour session. From the third session onwards, it will be the normal private tuition rate.
• SKLC has the right to appoint the teacher for the private makeup session.
• Request for private makeup lesson is to be informed to SKLC via text message or email in advance before the student’s proposed make-up date. SKLC, upon being informed, will discuss with the student to finalise the make-up lesson date.
• The make-up lesson will be forfeited if the student does not turn up on the promised time.
Refund Policy
• There is no refund for registration fee under any circumstances.
• There is no refund for material fee under any circumstances.
• 90% of the course fee is refunded when the student cancels the course 30 days before the commencement date.
• 70% of the course fee is refunded when the student cancels the course 14 days before the commencement date.
• None of the course fee can be refunded when the student cancels less than 14 days before the commencement date.
• 100% of the course fee is refunded when SKLC cancels the course.
• No refund is given for absences from any lessons by the student.
• No refund is given to the student who is expelled.
