Korean Language Intermediate1 Class

TOPIK II Korean Course

The "Korean Language Intermediate1" course is the first course of intermediate-level Korean studies, where you will learn various Korean expressions as well as intermediate-level grammar and vocabulary. The content from this course onwards is included in the curriculum for the TOPIK2 exam.

Course Duration

• 12 weeks of 1.5 hours lesson
• Once a week
• Online @ Live ZOOM

You will learn

1. How to introduce yourself
2. Talking about experiences
3. Making a suggestion and declining a suggestion
4. Adverbs of frequency
5. How to express options of action with 'V~거나'
6. How to nounize verbs. 'V~는 것'
7. How to express whether you know how to do something or not.
8. Adverbs of degree
9. How to express trying something. 'V~아/어 보다'
10. How to express duration with '동안', which corresponds to 'during' in English.
11. Connector 'A~ㄴ데', 'V~는데', 'N~인데', which corresponds to 'but' in English.

Units

• 1과: 처음 뵙겠습니다. How do you do? (~라고 하다, ~려고, ~거나)
• 2과: 취미가 뭐예요? What is your hobby? (~는 것, ~줄 알다, ~지 않다)
• 3과: 콘서트에 가 봤어요? Have you ever been to a concert? (~아/어 보다, 동안, ~은/는/인데)

Requirement

Should you have not completed the Pre-Intermediate at our centre, you have to verify your suitability for the Intermediate1 course by taking the Pre-Intermediate Level Test
The result of the Pre-Inter Level Test will be assessed by the teacher to determine the suitability of the test-taker to attend the Intermediate1 Course

Fees

• Course Fee: $330 (Inclusive of Intermediate1 Worksheets)
• Registration: $20, if it is your first time at our centre.
• Total Sum: $350, if it is your first time at our centre.
• Textbook: Seoul National University Korean 2A. Students have to get it by themselves.
